HAHAHA!!!!!

Wow..Chinese vs. Korean
Margo spoke her mind...

OLD SCHOOL!

Watch more Yahoo! Music videos on AOL Video

Just one of those days..

Wow..emotions really do show through my art!

I was in my art history class [yawn]..that's not even the bad part..
It's an EVENING class 6-9pm. I wasn't in the mood to be in that class at all and I really felt like I was dying inside. I started to sketch while the professor kept rambling on and it's funny after I look at the sketch bc Claudette is melting, and her stances look like she's struggling, LMAO..which is what I was doing!
I was struggling to stay awake.

This has to be one of the most accurate illustrations..

Quote from "Say What's Real"

Honestly, I've been in a slump for the past.....Hell, I've been in a slump since the beginning of this semester. I'm just not feeling it.
I like Fine Arts and all but now I'm getting into this illustration/Graphic Arts shit and it pisses me off that I can't find 1 thing that I can put all my focus into. First it was Baruch where I was studying business and hating that shit and now I'm a step closer and then my mind's starting to change again. On the positive note, I'm in the art field..so I need to take it one step at a time but it really brings me down when I think about it.
Because I'm not the type to strive on adversity..I break down!
I know there's people out there that relate..School isn't for everybody.
But I'm not talented nor equipped enough to quit and pull a Kanye ;)

What keeps me alive? If I didn't have so many people counting on me and believing in me..I'd be drunk and dead right now.
Thank You.

Why do you draw yourself so ugly?!!

....Well this is how I see myself!

I was inspired while witnessing a brawl..

So one night at bOb bar [LES] I witnessed a brawl between .... it had to be 10-15 dudes.

I was watching from across the street and was scared but also disgusted.

I wasn't watching for fun, I was waiting for people.

I HATE watching people fight; in high school, when a fight broke out, I was the only one that just walked away bc I HATE seeing people get hurt and just seeing people fight over stupid shit.

The part that disgusted me was the fact that it was for a stupid reason-Just bc men are like that! bObs is known as the hood sausage fest and when there's liquor involved, it just gets messy.. It gets to that point where a person will get mad if they think you're looking at them in the wrong way, or if you're trying to squeeze through the tight crowd and you put your hand on them. It's ridiculous!

So there was one part of the brawl when a guy had body slammed another one into the pavement and was punching the shit out of him. The guy on the floor was done and just cowering in fear but the one standing above him just kept going at him, in the heat of the moment. The one standing above had his shirt torn and it reminded me of..King Kong or ..The Hulk. And ever since that night, that image has been in my head so today I just decided to get it out on paper..

I'm hooked!

First, Drake's "Best I ever Had" and now this?!
I do this all the time.. I get hooked on one song and I play it over and over again: on the iPod, in the car, in school..until I get tired of it
I've been getting better with it though. I'm not entirely sick of that Drake song yet :)
Keri Hilson's album is not too bad..I had to let it grow on me..as with everything else in my life [sigh]..and she's BEEEAAAUTIFUL!

I have my speaker volumes @ MAX right now!

This is so appropriate for my mood today.. I love listening to piano!
I don't know who's playing this..but i love it :)

Can u guess what song this is? It's gonna get messy :(

So TODAY is a nastaaaay day: heavy rain, crazy winds..
I had to wake up early this morning [6am] for my morning class and i just felt that extra extra monday blues bc of the weather.
So of course, it's that gloomy kind of day where you're tired and you just feel chill.. I was listening to my ipod, being VERY selective bc of this certain mood.. and came across the Outro on Drake's So Far Gone mixtape [yes..again with the Drake]
And then it inspired me! It made me want to play. BUT I haven't played for a few years now so I was just being overly ambitious, I got on the piano and just bombed..lol
My parents made me take lessons for years as a young girl..but me being rebellious and stubborn, I just never tried my hardest and never practiced, well bc I just wasn't into it. I kind of regret it bc of moments like this where I feel like getting on the piano and just killin it but i can't ;)
Here's my messy rendition of Brian McKnight's One Last Cry

My 200th follower

So a while back I decided to have a little contest: my 200th follower on twitter would get a portrait with Claudette. So the winner sent me a pic of himself and the first idea that came to my head was..him robbing Claudette? LOL
And I included a lil sticker for him..which I've heard has been seen around Bedford. Damn, I need to make some more. These handmade stickers take a lot of time!!! I still vividly remembering that night of drawing 80 stickers within 2, 3 hours for that graff show..BRUTAL!

Currently working on..

Just got introduced to collaging. It's weird bc kids usually have to do collages in grade school, and i remember doing some..but there were never any standards to it..just cut up pictures, magazines, newspaper and glue em together.
We're doing a collage assignment in painting class right now: creating a small collage as a study for a large painting. It was difficult at first for me but I think i'm beginning to get the hang of it?
I decided to do another collage piece on the side with Claudette. I have a large square piece of wood that I gessoed up.

Here's the study in my sketchbook.

One of my favorite artists, Lee Krasner did a lot of collages.

I'm obsessed with her life. She was married to Jackson Pollock and was actually more well known before they got together. After they hooked up, everyone began to notice him and her artwork slowed down bc she was backing him up and encouraging him. It kind of frustrates me bc in my opinion as well as many others, she was a way better artist than he was..

Some of my fav. Neptunes remixes!

There are waaaaaaaaaay too many..but here are some off the top of my head

Damn, I can't believe Neptunes produced this..

love it..

Andy Milonakis is funnier this way to me..

Format NY and Nike ID

4/11/2009 Scavenger Hunt!
Got off to a rocky start because of the terrible, rainy weather..but the true sneaker heads and Format supporters trekked out and participated!!
Below is a video of the interior during the day..I don't know if I was tipsy or if I just have really horrible cam skills but pardon the shakiness. I'm still learning!!

This is when the partay didn't start yet. The Rain was crazy! It was cold and windy.. On the lower left hand corner is where Nike ID was set up. A legendary bOb bar Dunk was created..Will blog that when it arrives!

DJ Johnny Hansum. I requested Drake but he had the nerve to say: "Oh sorry..that's on my other computer" What?!!! ;)

Start:Finish @ Format. The sneaker was hidden above in Nigel Sylvester's bike frame. People just couldn't figure it out..

..But they did! They were in the store looking all over and finally found it, people were applauding. I think they got the hint though when people were nudging their head up to the ceiling.. cheaters! I think they announce the winners on Saturday.

And then...after bottles of henny...
BTW, I have WAY more video than this..Just don't want to embarrass anybody ;)

HAHA!

I've been inspired! Being in different environments/settings always makes me think of the lovely, Claudette. Have hit up different strip joints for some "research" the past couple of weeks.. Was not impressed. I had fun but..it wasn't was I expected. Maybe because I'm not a guy and I have standards.. [something that men don't possess..yes, standards]

Went to Gold Fingers on Queens Blvd on Saturday..

WACK!!! Ok maybe bc I was a loser and went there at like 9pm..Supposedly it wasn't the "hot hour" yet.
OR maybe it's bc I had to go to the restroom and when I got in, it was actually the public restroom/stripper change room..so I saw them in their pre-stripper state: street clothes, no makeup on yet, dry cellulitey legs.

Hey, if you want to see neighborhood moms that you see shopping at Queens Center Mall for childrens clothes, then go to Goldfingers!

OR..maybe it was bc it was so early that it was just me and DJ D Cocks, and 3 older men that I seen getting lunch at Burger King beforehand when the strip club hadn't opened yet.
OR..it could've been the dickhead bouncer that got taken aback when we 2 girls got to the entrance..He said "Who are you here to see?" with mad attitude.
OR..maybe it was bc the "audience" was separated from the strippers. There was a bar surrounding the stage, so they were basically isolated on an island. They kept making eye contact and smiling..which made me uncomfortable..bc I was really there to "research"
ORRRRRRR.. it was probably the half korean, half italian stripper who probably weighed 100 lbs and was wearing a long lavender ballroom dress with a wristlet on her arm. She was VERY textbook and elegant, dancing to "beat it" by MJ [actually the DJ could've been the prime reason why I hated the place]..and she had no rhythm [the asian side of her]. She kept waving at us and afterwards came to us. We felt bad so we tipped her. AND she tried to kiss me! I smoothly pulled back and smiled. Was that rude? Hey, I don't know where this bitch's lips have been!!!

You see, there are a lot of things to consider when being in a strip club. Am I just picky?

i'm proud

While waiting for Sean to close up the store last night..I was looking around and i felt proud about where FormatNY is at right now..Well it's JUST THE BEGINNING..but it's been through a lot. Lots of hard work and patience will get you anywhere you want..

Oh and did I mention..Claudette makes an appearance inside? ;)
Attack of the Mag Wheels..

Sir Manchester of Williamsburg County

Yes..that's his name on the birth certificate.
Manny is now 7 months old..i'm a proud auntie!
Hey, if you need a dude/chick magnet, get a english bullpup..you won't be able to walk down the street without being stopped every 5 seconds..

How appropriate today..

Today at Format NY

The NIKE ID Scavenger Hunt is going on today at FORMATNY! Yes the weather is kind of dreary outside but it should make the hunt more fun! Good Luck to all participants, the prize is worth it!

Shouts to @MrSoliman for bringing it to my attention!!

Extra Butter Movie Night- 4/4/09

LATE RECAP!
Saturday night Sean, from formatny, and I went to Movie Night at Extra Butter in Long Island. LOVIN THE STORE! They totally carried out the theme [movie theater] and it looks great.
They played Martyrs, a French horror film. YUCCCK! I generally don't like horror films bc they never scare me and I just get bored but this one was crazy..filled with blood and gore, I almost gagged at some points.
Below is a short video of how the store looks:

In front of Extra Butter

After the movie, they set up some type of..runway line and they were just goofing off.. Me and D were anxious to get out and hit the strip club!

LOL @ Easedaman

Gentleman's Quarters!!!
It was a good first time experience..Not what I expected
The strippers were way more goofy than sexy lol
Me and D were making friends with them, I guess the strippers were excited about having girls there..or just people there period.
Everybody sitting around was basically from the Extra Butter, Mishka party.
It was so goofy that after one of the stripper's dancing session was over, she came off the stage, said "thank you" to me and gave me a high five. lol!

Me and D got stacks!
